The worst rental experience of my life.
I will never, ever be renting form Haart, Camberwell ever again. When we moved in the property was absolutely filthy, the shower didn't work, there were holes in the floorboards of the one bedroom so that slugs were entering the property (an item of furniture was covering this when we looked around, and initially when we raised it with Haart they tried to tell us the property was 'let as seen'). Through the two years we spent at the property we had numerous urgent issues due to the poor condition of the property which took months to resolve. During this time, Haart's communication was absolutely appalling. If we received replies to our emails (by no means a guarantee) they were often weeks after our initial complaint. At the end of our tenancy, Haart tried to tell us they were making deductions from our deposit but refused to tell us how much, and then engaged in no further communication with us. They still, at this point, had hold of the entirety of our deposit. We eventually referred the dispute to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme who ruled in our favour after Haart refused to engage in the process at all. Honestly these were most incompetent, unscrupulous estate agents I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

Nobody checks these reviews before they rent a house, but on the off-chance that they do - it's not worth it, find somewhere else (even Gareth James were better!).

This happened at least 4 times during our 1 year tenancy and cost us a lot of nerves and time. At the end of the contract we were given some money back to later get to know we need to pay it back again (again being accused of not having paid enough). Accounting in this company is seriously messed up and we have never been dealt with professionalism and care. Communication was always hard and our continuous emails ignored.

Stuart from Haart valued my property and, out of the several who gave quotes, I found theirs to be the most professional and indicative of the current market. He'd done his homework before he arrived and knew the area well.
On looking for a flat I went straight to Haart and Bryan Erazo Barriga went out of his way to help secure something in the price range and of the standard I required. There was none of the over-sell hype of some estate agents, no sending me to look at properties way out of my price range or area.
My experience with them was a very positive one, I'd recommend them to anyone.

Having just completed on our property purchase through this agency, I would like to mention how brilliant Samantha, who dealt with the progression of the sale was, throughout the transaction. She was really helpful and very efficient at sorting out some nightmare last minute issues which came up and without her, I don't think we would have reached completion within the timescale we needed to (or at all!!).

The team there led by Stuart are fantastic and in particular Nikki Lumsden who has gone way beyond in getting my recent sale over the line and doing extra tasks that I was unable to do as was out of the country - she answered e-mails and all times of the day and night and even went to the flat once to post me on the wallet I had left behind with all my bank cards within. These are chores no estate agent has to do but she happily obliged and it was a big help to me. Turning to the efforts she put in to get my flat sold at pace and at a price that I was very happy with she was 1st class. Once the sale had progressed another Haart hero in the name of Samantha Stevens stepped up and was relentless in getting the sale progressed to exchange and fair to say she didn't have the most helpful of solicitors to deal with but she was tenacious and always kept me informed of what was going on and she deserves huge credit for this.

All of the staff I have dealt with there have been great, however I have to say that Nikki is outstanding. There is nothing too big or too small, no question goes unanswered and she always goes above and beyond. I have no doubt that the purchase of my flat would have been much more painful and laborious without her input and assistance.

I recently purchased a property through Haart and dealt with Nikki during the sale and Sam for the after care. They were both amazing! Sam made the after sale process much easier to handle, going back and forth between both solicitors, the vendors and myself to keep the sale pushing forwards. She dealt with problems quickly and efficiently always keeping me up to date and informed of our progress. Without her help I think it would have taken forever to go through!
I would definitely recommend Haart and will use them in the future should the need arise.

What agent could do to change your mind?
They have a terrible reputation, deservedly. They see the relationship with buyers as a combatitive one. Rude and untrustworthy they typify all the worst stereotypes about estate agents.
