Only, it turned out that we didnt need any of that. Redwood put a very expensive waking watch overnight without informing the leasoholders.
When, a leaseholders, we told them that it wasnt affordable, all they could say was:
It's not their fault and that we had to pay.
Turned out we didn't have to pay a thing. We got together as leaseholder and instructed our own fire engineer report that made all Redwood plans redundant and narrowly we escaped bankruptcy.
They left the estate in a total mess and took money for work they have not done.
Please avoid like the plague!

Just like a few of the reviewers here state, one star is too many for these lying cheating self serving divs like Debbie. I was in the process of trying to purchase a property with Redwood in Woolwich who do a FULL credit search on you before even showing a property to you! Leaving a mark on your credit history before you even seeing the place! Furthermore view a property which they had actually already sold! But still kept the property on the market and continuing to book viewings!!!

I later found out that my friend had problems with Redwood when renting out her flat through them. The tenant had some issues within the building and Redwood failed to rectify them which went on for months. In the end my friend lost a good tenant who left as the place became unsafe due to no intervention from either Redwood Estates or the management company. Redwood, and especially Debbie have poor communication skills and the rest are a bunch of liars just out to serve themselves.
DO NOT USE THEM!

I rented 29a Redbourne Drive from Redwood Estates in June of this year. They had on-going issues with tenants taking drugs and causing disturbance with my building.
Bexley council confirmed Redwood knew this when renting the property to me. And so they deliberately rented the property to me without resolving the issues with the other tenants with their management company BlueGen who own the freehold. They were also utterly useless!
I had spent most of my time since July until the end of last month complaining about these issues. Redwood decided to take a blind-eye and asked to keep reporting to the council.
When I finally got through to the Bexley council they informed me that I was to go back to Redwood and get them to deal with matters and of course they didn't! I basically ended up having to stay in a hotel because the property became unsafe! After being forced to leave for my own safety Redwood decided to try and take over £700 from my deposit after blaming me for old fixtures and fittings. And general wear and tear of the property which was old! I had hardly been there since the tenancy began only in June of this year. A request for a new cooker was also ignored because the one they left me with was broken, old and dirty. No proper check-in was done either.
Think twice before renting from Redwood Estates! Simply the worst experience and the fact I was forced to leave for my own personal safety. Utterly disgraceful and they haven't heard the last of this! The way they treated both myself and the landlord is a disgrace!
Redwood have cost the landlord a good tenant and taken away the rest of the tenancy from under both of us because of their inept management, they simply do not care!

Fees are really unknown. They would quote you with one fee and then soon as you pay, they would revert back to claiming that there was another fee unquoted but incurred by the landlord. Then they would not release the contract or else until you pay this unquoted fee, coming out of the blue.

This is one of the worst agency I ever came across in my life.
After passing all the references, they would agree in principles to let you the property and provide you the date to come and sign. When you are fully confident of securing a contract and moving the the property, they would call you the day before to inform you that the landlord has found a new tenant offering more.
Knowing that you have no other options and restricted by the time and the circumstances around such notice already provided to your landlord, arrangements already made, then you have no option to agree to this new rent without even have a choice really.

Redwood's as a whole have been absolutely fantastic. All the staff have helped me through managing my property as letting agents, searching for buyers as property sellers, dealing with solicitors and selling my property and being such proactive and professional individuals, of which I relied on more than my solicitors for updating me with information.
Every team member I have dealt with has been wonderful and I wish to thank each of them individually, because without them, I would have not been able to complete the sale and most likely would have given up on my solicitors plus the sale.

We've been renting our property in Thamesmead for almost a year now, with a renewal agreed for February. There have been surprisingly few problems with the house, but when required, Redwood always act promptly and efficiently to resolve any issues, which recently have included a boiler issue that was resolved quickly. A particular mention should go to Nikki Everest, who has been so easy and a delight to deal with. I have a lot of experience with letting agents, as I've worked in the industry myself. Without doubt, Redwood are one of the best in the area and give one a sense of confidence that things will get resolved if they ever go wrong.
