As landlords with a number of properties in SE and SW London, it's vital that we can rely on the agents we work with.
Iain was professional and business-like in his approach to finding us suitable tenants in a very short space of time. His assessment of what both sides were hoping for, was accurate and ensured he closed a deal swiftly.
Magda then took over with the administration, and was proactive and efficient throughout. She gave us sensible advice on a couple of occasions, which was extremely helpful.
A very pleasing end to end experience for us!

Sam has helped me twice already! He is always super professional and caring of his customers.
The first time I was in contact with him, Sam really took the time to understand what kind of property I wanted. He shared with me a great selection of apartments at the right price point. He was quick to respond all queries and help me negotiate with the landlord.
Consequently, when my partner and I decided to move in together and were looking for new apartments, I said: "I know someone that could help us". I sent an email to Sam, he responded immediately with a great selection of properties, and the very same day we had a viewing and found our ideal home.
I will certainly go back to Sam when I buy a house :)

If everything is going well and no issues the fees may seem expensive but they are worth it to cover the times when there is a bit more to be done.

Excellent service by the whole office, after trying three different agents prior to Beresford at West Norwood we randomly thought we'd give them a try and it was well worth it they said they'd let it in 14 days they didn't they let it in 7 days, the three previous agents 1 had it for 30 days 0 viewings, the next was a complete and utter circus, and we've left a review on All Agents the third agent had it for 54 days and managed 3 viewings, Beresford had 4 viewings in 7 days resulting in the property being let, also what was refreshing about Beresford theres no extra charges with the letting fee they don't charge for quiet a few services which in this day and age is good to say the least, Well done to all involved.......

Just this week, Magda has handled a major problem quickly and we really appreciate her efforts - a problem of a broken boiler, and by result no hot water, was solved within 4 days (bearing in mind that this also included a weekend and our landlord being in a different time zone for contact).
We really appreciated this and any help in the past - largely, contact has been very prompt and feedback has been good. Every time our problem has been resolved in the end and we have been left satisfied with the service.
Thank you so much for your hard work Magda.

Regrettably I must write an unfavourable review for this branch and Beresford in general (during our approximately two month of dealing with them, we were in contact with at least three different agents from three different branches, sometimes regarding the same issue).
When we were moving in, the keys were not ready and we had to wait almost one hour to get them - that was in the afternoon on the day we were already paying the rent for. The check-in report was not ready either and we received it several days later, not on the day of moving in as we were specifically told we would by one of the agents.
One month into our tenancy, our problems with the shower and hot water have not been solved (there is a score of other issues, deemed by the agent as 'not a priority' such as broken entry phone, thermostats not working, etc). Over the course of last three + weeks several parties (some hired by the agency, others directly by the landlord) have come to inspect the shower and the boiler, each time attributing the problem to a different issue. The shower continuously dripping has been fixed (we don't know how and by whom) but we continue to have issues with the temperature and the pressure. The agent (Magda Lima, property manager) keeps telling us the workers will come 'tomorrow' or 'on Thursday', but repeatedly fails to follow up and from what we can notice no one actually comes and stuff is not getting fixed.
Initially, our freezer was also not working properly. The agency sent their contractor in, who determined that the fridge-freezer combi needs to be replaced. The landlord was not happy with their assessment, and hired an independent company to inspect the issue. That engineer identified a broken part, and in a matter of less than an hour thawed the freezer and exchanged the broken part - so it took the landlord's initiative to get an independent company to fix the freezer. The agency's contractors misdiagnosed the problem. Needless to say, the whole ordeal took a while and we had to throw away food.
In general, the communication is poor - the agent doesn't reply to our emails, and doesn't follow up on what has or hasn't been done. In other words, on top of issues not getting fixed, we don't really know if people are coming into our house, and when.

Quite simply THE WORST ESTATE AGENCY TEAM I'VE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH.
Incompetency is rife and commonplace in this branch, from the roots all the way up to the branch manager. They are all as bad as each other, willing to cheat, lie and steal to ensure there is an extra £ in their pocket. They have absolutely no regard for the wellbeing of their tenants, or landlords for that matter. In addition to this, they are completely and utterly useless at their jobs. If you are a landlord, DO NOT let Beresford manage your property, they could not organise a piss up in a brewery, and then they would lie about why they couldn't do it.
Due to the amount of issues we've had, I really do not know where to start. How about a problem which was meant to be sorted within the first two weeks of our tenancy (in our tenancy agreement), still not resolved upon moving out.
How about forgetting you didn't have the correct front door key on 4 separate occasions, resulting in one of us having to leave work to let you in the property.
This is one for the landlords, their sub-contractors don't meet British Standards and charge extortionate amounts for cheap equipment and poor workmanship. Our boiler needed replacing, they charged our landlord £2100 - the plumber was there for 3 hours and the boiler cost £430 when Googled. You do the maths.
When talking about contracts, they will happily contradict themselves time and time again just so they don't have to admit that angels such as themselves make mistakes.
Thank god we moved house, unfortunately this meant negotiating our deposit return with Beresford, we were expecting a battle and thats what we got. They initially tried charging us over £750 in damage, all of these charges related to damage that was either already present upon moving in or was just completely fabricated. We got in contact with the new tenants and visited the property to see that not one piece of work we had been charged for had actually been carried out, we took pictures and finally resolved the deposit dispute, accepting a singular £20 charge.
IN CONCLUSION, I could not advise more heavily against using Beresford Residential for any of your property needs.
