Stay well clear of entwistle green Blackburn,the manager Sophia is very rude,and did nothing on the property we went for from start to finish,didn't turn up on day to give us keys and didn't get a tenants agreement or deposit guarantee ,and still waiting for rent in advance and deposit back,I phone up and a Tom answers the phone and he says no one available ,and they are all out.spoke to a Sharon and she hung up on me,after saying it nothing to do with us,what are they there for.spoke to a Pamela and she has been the best so far but then Sophia the so called manager stop her from sorting this out.ive now had to put a dispute in to get my money back.all they think about is money money not the tenants.i will never use entwistle again hope you all stay well clear and you don't go through what we had too.they are pathetic very unprofessional .
What agent could do to change your mind?
Been there from start to finish and communication skills which none have

I have been with Entwistle Green lettings for many years as they have overseen the letting of my property. Sherry is the absolute star of the team. She sees through what she says she will do, she ensures the wider team (maintenance side) do what they’ve been requested to do. She really cares about her job and her customers. Everyone in the office is friendly and polite when you contact them. Entwistle Green lettings Blackburn really do have the best interest of clients at heart.

I have been with Entwistle Green lettings for many years as they have overseen the letting of my property. Sherry is the absolute star of the team. When I eventually decided to sell the property the sales side of the team were also good and I would recommend.

but do not view ,sell , or rent your property through this company
i paid full asking price for a property they marketed on monday i offered them full £425000 tuesday they made me run around asking for silly documents eg driving licence copy but needs to be in colour
i spoke to the seller who accepted my offer and by friday my solicitor had contacted them my mortgage advisor has given them all required.
Why not be honest they kept showing the property to buyers even though the seller had said no he tells me they told him he had signed a contract.
the 2 ladys who work in thjs office julia and steph have no idea and customer service they dont understand.
there words we work for the seller buyers dont mean anything to us
on monday they started playing myself off with others and coming with, would you like to up your offer as we got higher than the asking price.
my point on all this is why not just be honest and say we will keep viewing open and best price gets instead off making you run around for silly documents when theyve no intention of accepting the offer.

They use bully tactics, deny you contacted them, respond with legal terminology to intimidate which actually has no baring on rental law, do not abide by their own policies or the law. Demand monies without explanation, never respond to emails or contact but will harrass you with contact, Bullies. Rent from them at your peril

Take my advice, if you rent a property with somebody else and you're both named on the tenancy, if you break up and decide to keep the property on yourself, make sure Entwistle Green upload the signed documentation to the computer while you're sat there in front of them!!!
I rented a property on my own after breaking up with my girlfriend for 2 years, she vacated the property and signed herself off the tenancy and I signed to stay in the property as the new tenant. When I terminated my tenancy last month I was informed by the housing association that my ex will be getting the deposit!! After numerous phone calls to Entwistle Green, the housing association and Countrywide, they informed me the deposit had to be split 50/50......
Rubbish agency, avoid!!

We subsequently left, but only after one of their contractors damaged tiles in the bathroom together with the bath panel. Upon complaining I received an obtuse letter laying the blame at the door of the tenant. Said tenant has been in place for 4 years and never have we had any damage.Some three weeks on from leaving Entwistle Green and starting with a new agent we have not received the tenants deposit back from Entwistle Green. Appalling service.

If there were a property that was ideal I would still never use this company, I would rather sleep in my car! I'm not sure why they think it is alright to speak to people in this manner, I have a good mind to contact the land registry and find the landlord to let them know just how badly they are been represented. Nothing would justify how rude the person was who took my call.

The worst service providing company (never mind Lettings Agency) I have ever encountered.
Their idea of service provision is as follows:
1. Promise to do a significant list of things as requested by the customer
2. Take your money.
3. Don't do any of the jobs requested
4. Ignore complaints until you bombard them with calls
5. Blame everyone else (contractors, cleaners, other third parties)
6. take no responsibility for service failings
7. Switch a customers utilities account to Eon without their permission
8. Pass a tenants details to numerous third parties despite the customer specifically requesting that they do not on the application form.

As a landlord I've had a lot of problems with this firm. They took over the small local firm I had used and trusted and promised to improve what was already a good service - so I stayed with them. Their communication is very poor - letters come from different p[laces and offices don't talk to each other so I can have someone in a central office sending stroppy letters ( no emails - too easy to reply to) about documentation which this office have not passed on. Fees appear out of nowhere; £125 for 'renegotiating the tenancy' every six months, fees for calling out trades via them and fees if you don't use their trades - why they think it costs them £24 to process a Gas Cert from a certified installer I don't know and they don't answer questions like that. The knee jerk reaction to anything seems to be 'Bill the landlord for that' - and when I got in touch with one tenant it appears that the same demand may have been made of them. Inspections of the property are virtually random / non-existent and reports haphazard. Reading have not been passed on to utilities and I've had to sort out the mess.

Only interested in getting someone in as soon as possible. There was no consideration about the reliability of the tenant or what we had specified we wanted.
