Adam, the agent from Ward & Partners in Northdown Road, Cliftonville, went out of his way to be as helpful as possible, and to fit in with my timescale. Even after deciding to purchase, he agreed to attend the property with me so that I could take extra measurements in regard to furniture. But then everyone at Ward & Partners was helpful and friendly - which is so important. When I asked if they would kindly telephone for a taxi to take me to Margate Station, the Branch Manager drove me there himself. Another important point I wish to make is that I am a cash customer and, unlike another estate agency company, whose name is very prominent throughout East Kent, they did not ask me to give evidence of my money. Overall, I would award Ward & Partners 5 stars and Adam a separate 5 stars.

A bad experience. I was amazed that 'red tape' forced the branch into asking me to pay an extra £61 for photos and an EPC which it agreed it would repay on completion! And I was very dissatisfied with communication in general and a failure to provide a written assurance about the reimbursement within the timescales I was promised. The branch failed to pass on messages from my purchaser - because it was not policy to do so as we were not using the ward's conveyancing service. It charges more for photos and EPC if you don't use its conveyancers!

I decided to used them and then I get a call from Paul the manager of the Cliftonville branch telling me that he has a potential buyer for my property and he asked me to sign the sign to cover him if the client decides to buy my property. Since I signed the form I had not heard from him or the potential buyer. I rang him and left messages but he has not return my class or answered my email. I will never use them.

The property was advertised with an offer, I contacted this estate agent to make a better offer, they asked me to send details of proof of funds, this was sent over to them via e-mail, after this time I never heard anything and Joseph would never return my calls and no one else could give me any details, I then contacted the connells asset management company who was selling the property through ward and partners cliftonville branch, they told me that I should have been contacted as they have accepted an offer from the original bidder and I should have been given the chance to make a better offer. I called Wards and the manager said that the original bidder was ready to go head as he was a cash buyer, but I am also a cash buyer and they knew this from the start and I was ready to go, they could not say much to me but sorry, the way I see this is that the property had to go on the open market as this is the law, loads of people went to view the property for no reason as ward and partners knew they was going to sell the original bidder in the first place as they must know him and offer him good deals on properties. All I can say is this company has to be the worst I have ever had dealings with, my family all live around the area and I am passing this information to them as I they will never use them in future. I hope you don't either.

I don't think we would of got close to this with anyone else.

I stopped using Wards on December 19th giving them the correct notice. They had advertised my property at 70,000 when I specifically said not to go below 75,000, apologising profusely. They lied about their contact with buyers etc. were slow to contact me, introduced clients who were not serious in buying my property and told one prospective buyer that they couldn't show them the property for 5 days, despite having full access to it . The reason I am typing this review is that I have just seen my property (now with two new agents) being advertised once more with Wards ( who are NOT agents to my property) for 70,000 on a well known used web site. I have agreed a sale at my asking price and am worried the new buyers will see this fraudulent ad and try to lower my price. They are advertising themselves as my agents 3 months after the contract finished!!! This is either extremely forgetful or downright incompetent. Sellers beware!! I am in the process of reporting this office to the appropriate governing body.
