Recently rented my property through Connells . I wasn't explained the full fees before sining the contract .And it took longer than normal to receive my first months rent until I had to call in the office to see if they lost my bank details . Later to find once I received my first payment extra fees were taken out which were not explained to me . Have called the office for about a week and and I still await a call back from Tia who is never in the office or free !

Whilst the fees might be a little higher than other estate agents, we were both happy to pay these fees. This branch managed to secure the sale of my property within less than two weeks and my partner's sold shortly after.

My finance and I are very grateful for the help we received from this branch in selling our properties and purchasing our ideal home together. What agent could do to change your mind?
I am not sure how the fees are set, but having to pay a fee for both my wife and I separately was very confusing and disappointing. I was working with Tia Thomas who charged us each 150 for our applications, splitting the rent onto each application as if to justify charging us both for the application fee. Since I am the only applicant that would be paying the full rent each month -- my wife does not work -- I felt that I should be the only one charged a fee to run the background check and complete the process. I would like to know if this is a common practice by your letting agency.

We have returned to the UK from living in Spain for 13 years, renting a property wasn't particularly straight forward for us, as we have no earning history etc in the UK. Even though we probably weren't the easiest client to deal with, once we had contact with Nikki, she was fantastic in getting the whole process sorted, regularly keeping us updated etc. It was very reassuring for us, and will cement our decision to buy via Connells in a few years time.
