Forced into having 2 valuations last week. I agreed on the basis it was free, once it was finished I was called by an aggressive lady who was trying to force me to sell. Rude staff and a disgraceful service. No thanks.

I had a very poor rental experience with Foxton's Brixton. I was desperate for short term accommodation so signed a 5 month tenancy and was not allowed to see the flat, only a video tour, before signing. I read a review posted on 19th October from a tenant who had problems with Foxtons. There is something pathological and corrupt about this awful company. Anyone offering to rent their property through Foxtons should beware. Anyone wanting to rent through Foxtons should walk away. ... Read Full Review
My understanding is that they take nearly a third of the rent, and do nothing in return. I would describe Foxtons as thieves in suits. If you are considering renting in Brixton, go find a local agent (small) who knows their local area, and who relies on their long-term reputation. Do not go anywhere near this awful, awful company.

Selling a property is never stress free and can often come with many obstacles to overcome. However I can quite honestly say that Foxtons have the ability to make this process even more stressful and, in our case, they created problems that very nearly meant the sale of our property fell through.... We paid nearly £25,000 for a service which was not worth a fraction of this. They don't deserve this. They didn't get the valuation they promised. They were incompetent. I will not use an agent when i sell my next property I will do through a web based agent and save my self tens of thousands of pounds.
