I viewed a property and said I wanted to proceed with renting it, they sent the paperwork via email, I called after the weekend to discuss paying the deposit and they said that the property had been taken by someone else. They said they had another property on that they could arrange a quick viewing, this was Tuesday. I said I could view as soon as possible, they then got back to me saying they had to get hold of landlords and said the earlier viewing was sat at 10.45. I asked if it could be 12 and they said 10.45 only as they had bookings back to back after. I called in the morning as the journey would take me over an hour and asked again if it could be a little later in case traffic was bad, but I was on my way. I got to the property 10 minutes late and I called the agent and they were already back in the office. I said I had come all this way and could I at least wait around to see if I could have a look between other viewings as they were apparently viewing it all day. They would not do anything to accommodate me at all. These people are ruthless arrogant and I feel that they can not be trusted as I am dubious whether they already had a tenant lined up and were just trying to be awkward. Having read the reviews about all of the branches I feel I had a lucky escape as the general theme to Ashton Burkinshaw is overall awful...avoid this agent at all cost!!!

Communication poor to start and shocking at the end, many emails and calls unanswered. At first Ashton Burkinshaw was a good company to deal with. As new tenants they they were helpful and friendly and the team offered guidance. Fast forward a few years and the level of service has dropped - whether this is connected to Countrywide or not I do not know. Unfortunately, it no longer... Read Full Review
