When we first considered letting our property out we were anxious and worried. We met Anna who came over to our property to value and explain our options...I instantly felt at ease with her. I cannot explain how much pressure this has taken off of us and the constant reassurance we received. We can't thank Anna and Connells enough for all their efforts. Nothing is too much and they are always happy to go that extra mile. So pleased - thank you :)

Rushed into a fixed fee in a dropping market, my fault but I needed time to think before putting pen to paper. Photographer never turned up on the pre-booked day and time. A pain as the property was vacant and I had had to drive over 40 miles to let them in. They are supposed to phone me with an update once a week - rarely happened. Feedback post viewings was hit and miss, even if they said that they could not get hold of the viewer, better than being left hanging. Don't answer emails chasing what is happening. Left my house back door unlocked for a week after a viewing. Overall, poor communication and not worth the money that I have ended up paying. You could say that they got the buyer, but so could anyone, online gets viewers interested.

Connels tried to take over our mortgage which was already agreed in principle with another mortgage company. They messed up out whole buying experience and now the sellers have gone elsewhere. So unprofessional and rude!

I contacted Connells to view a property and i spoke with Anna who booked me in for the next day! The property we viewed fell through so Anna took a lot of her time trying to find us a suitable property at the right price. After a few calls I viewed a property and it was perfect and have finally got a home to move in to! Anna was very professional and done everything she could to help us she is so polite and helpful and answered every question I had she answered straight away! 5 star service and Connells are lucky to have Anna as part of their team!

Connells provided a valuation and gave the usual sales patter about their fees and why we should use them. When we were contacted and advised we had decided to use an alternative agent, I was asked if they could help with financial services and when I tried to explain that I would be porting my mortgage to the new property and it became apparent I was not going to proceed with them, the member of staff slammed the phone down. It's not surprising Estate Agents have the reputation they do when your first line customer contact leaves you with an experience like this. I would recommend avoiding Connells at all costs.

To be fair he had some helpful advice on how to price effectively in terms of where your ad will appear on Rightmove, and on limiting the amount of pictures to 8, just enough to entice people to book a viewing (though interestingly this rule doesn't seem to apply to any of the houses they currently have listed) Unfortunately he thought the best way to convey this information to me was to tear our advert to shreds, berate me for the choices I had made, and slag off every other estate agent in the area. It was unbelievably unprofessional, and the guy was literally dripping with arrogance. When we shook hands and it was the sweatiest hand I've ever had the misfortune of shaking. I still shudder to think of it.
We had a further phone call where we discussed the house to I viewed. I commented that the photos on the house were extremely misleading – the use of wide angled lenses had artificially stretched the rooms, and had we seen a realistic picture, probably wouldn't have wasted time viewing the house. His reply was that all they really care about is getting viewings in, presumably this makes it look as though they are earning their money. I asked what was the point in getting 30 viewings if no one wanted to buy the house. I let him bumble and ramble on for a bit, which was fairly entertaining. He eventually told me we were chalk and cheese and would never see eye to eye, and hung up on me.
Good riddance.

I am Really annoyed.
I spoke to one of their agents on Thursday to arrange a viewing of a property that they are "marketing" (apparently) in the SN25 area of Swindon.
I booked a 2.00pm appointment for today (Saturday) with Connells and travelled from Newbury in Berkshire in order to attend the viewing. On knocking at the door I was greeted by the confused tenant of the property, who informed me she was unaware of any appointment being made, and that she was on her way out for the afternoon. I called Connells immediately, and spoke to one of their blasé agents who confirmed that their was no appointment in their diary for this viewing; I could tell by the tone of his voice that he really couldn't care less..
Just how exactly is it possible to mess up something as simple as making an appointment for a viewing? This is their bread and butter at the end of the day. I only wish I could inform the owner of the property of just how badly they are "marketing" his property for him.
I will never buy a house, or have any dealings with this cowboy agency again.
