Terrible from the start of my tenancy. They made mistakes on the contract where it was advertised as the landlord pays the bills but on the contract, it was up to the tenant. Luckily I noticed and got it changed. When it came to renewing my contract it started to get worse. Luckily the landlord was amazing and they would often speak to me directly. So when I wanted to renew he let me know they didn't want my rent to rise, since foxtons had asked them already if he wanted to. Yet the next day Foxtons (not knowing my conversation with the landlord) tried to claim my rent was rising. I corrected them and they never tried it or made this mistake again. When leaving the nightmare really peaked. They bounce you between their office and HQ while asking for more fees. The landlord requested they return my deposit. They claimed he never told them this. I got it in writing from my landlord he was happy for the return of my deposit and I handed it to them myself. When I chased them for an update they claimed not to have the letter. I sent them a copy I had, but they started the 'return' date then so I still had to wait again for it to be processed. Thier cleaning service was higher than the standard costs but I felt pressured to use it to avoid anymore issues with them. I was worn down and fed up by then. Yet they never turned up for the last inspection of my flat so I sat in an empty building all day for nothing. Moving is stressful enough and despite paying them all the fees they never treat tenants as a customer more like cattle. Overall, I avoid them completely as a company.

BE AWARE! No matter what you do, FOXTONS will take away a big chunk of your deposit if not all. I can't say enough about those people who protect and cover themselves well. Whilst Foxtons fees are higher than some other estate agents, in our opinion, they worked incredibly hard and delivered the results others agents weren't able to and achieved a higher price for our property. You get what you pay for and we got a top notch service from Foxtons and were very happy with the results.
