Let out my property to a recommended professional man....turns out he was on the dole ! Promised regular inspections....no. owes £3000 unpaid rent. Took 9 months and £1200 To get him out. Then discovered. ....YUK a pig stye....broken washing machine and cooker. The curtains were stuck with filth to the windows....when i asked for his deposit they said you will have to go to the small claims court for that ! You have been warned

Staff ask for unsolicited gifts to facilitate offers, which is illegal and when complaints are made to senior Area Directors, these are ignored, despite the huge potential of corruption. Staff ask for unsolicited gifts to facilitate offers, which is illegal and when complaints are made to senior Area Directors, these are ignored, despite the huge potential of corruption. People in question, are Derek Akrom, who requested the Unsolicited gift of £5k, written complaint made by customer and was forwarded onto David Dukelow, the Area Director, who has seemingly ignored this, which may have further emboldened his team to ask for more Unsolicited gifts. This is the main reason why this agent are the most unsuccessful Agents in London, especially Enfield Town.

My experience with Mrs Shahnaz Laloui as an estate agent is good. She is a good listener and was ready to explain all options available to renting the property at 62 Orton Grove. Truly an awful experience, they got me to sign the contract and even told me to utilities into my name and then informed me the current tenants were not leaving. Truly an awful experience, they got me to sign the contract and even told me to utilities into my name and then informed me the current tenants were not leaving. When I asked me my holding deposit back they promised it within 3 to 5 days and on the 6th day I'm still waiting. You'll understand why estate agents have such a poor reputation once you deal with these guys. Avoid at all costs if you value your sanity. Truly awful experience

We first viewed the property through their partner company Frank Innes (who were extremely helpful and friendly, and have been since), but Bairstow Eves offered us discounted initial fees.
Having provided all paperwork and paid to have the property 'taken off the market', we were told that unless the landlord specifically veto'd us, the property was ours.
After a total lack of communication, 3 days later we are told that the property had been let to another couple who had applied after us, and that there was "nothing they could do about it" and they'd have to "see about paying the fees back". Even if we were fully refunded, we are now without anywhere to live, having been told that we would definitely have the property. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I have dealt with Yvette, the Mortgage Advisor at this office for many years. She is always honest, friendly, professional and gives good honest advice. I would recommend her to any of my friends and family. It is difficukt to find a decent mortgage broker and I will not use anyone else after having dealt with Yvette.

Put property on the market for 12 weeks contracted period. Told that I would pay 1.5% +VAT if property sold. Also Alex Knight took from me £120.00 which I was lead to believe was in case I pulled out within the contract period. However on terminating the agreement after 12 weeks and have had only about 1 viewing I was told that the £120.00 fee was non-refundable. This I could not believe. Searching the contact details written by Alex Knight there is no mention of this "Marketing fee" and the brochure states "No Sale No fee". Having challenged Alex Knight about this I was told that I was the only one ever to have complained (he should look on the internet!) and then started to tell me what other agents did. The upshot being that basically I was told to "go away". I feel totally conned by Bairstow Eves and Alex Knight in particular. Others on the net have had this experience from other of their branches. I would call this theft by deception. I propose to take the matter up with the Property Ombudsman. I would not recommend Bairstow Eves in any way. My feeling is steer well clear of them.
