I used this company when letting my flat because I'd had good experiences with their sales team during the purchase of my present house. CJ Hole were the seller's agent. Justin and his letting team didn't disappoint. From the first visit to advise on letting matters, to finding suitable tenants (I'm 'picky'), to the end of setting up the tenancy and seeing the place occupied .... all has been handled in a professional, hassle-free and friendly manner. Thank you and long may things continue in a like manner!

They've failed to maintain and repair the property for years. It shouldn't have been let in this state. They've refused to do repairs or pay for damage to my property caused by long standing mould, damp, water ingress and sanitation flooding. I've been left to clear up their mess on all occasions. They access my home without notification or permission. Only now they been served a Legal Improvement Notice, have they started work after 3 years of my suffering this, although it's been known to them for many years and just been left. Despite their having 6 months to do the work they've exceeded the time limitation and the Council have allowed this! I've been left homeless sleeping on floors, in expensive Airbnbs at my cost and in my car. They believe it's inhabitable, I've now been told to move back into a filthy flat that's in disrepair, damp, with bullying neighbours, inadequate heating, fire risks and it being cluttered. I can't access my bedroom, hall, lounge, kitchen or dining area due to their mess and disrepair. It's making me ill and putting me at risk.

The fact that my tenants have proved to be well chosen, and stayed for (or wish to stay for) long periods is evidence that CJHole's system is effective. C J ignored all that legal requirement and deceptively marketed the flat as a two bedroom and set rent as if it was a two bedroom flat.
Thorough viewing was not possible during Covid restrictions so I obtained the flat under the assumption C J Hole were honest and signed a contract in good faith and based on the deceptive marketing information provided by C J Hole.
I became aware of the restriction only when Cheltenham Council surprisingly contacted me later to inspect the flat if the restriction/Prohibition was being complied with. When I challenged C J Hole about why they had tricked me by withholding crucial information about the flat on the non-inevitability of one on the bedrooms when I had made it clear I was after a two bedroom flat they came with dodgy excuses first. Instead of apologising C J Hole opted to force me to pay a new out of the market rent ignoring the fact that it's them who had trapped me into a property not suitable to my needs. On objecting to their demands they started bombarding me with relentless threats and harassment emails - ignoring the fact that it's them who had withheld crucial information when they tricked me into a tenancy agreement.
At another huge cost I had to look for another two bedroom just a few months after moving into their flat - a stressful, costly and daunting timing consuming exercise. C J Hole showed no regret let alone care!
C J Hole are part of the small percentage of estate agents that put money before anything else: a reckless, no concern for tenants welfare, rogue and a criminal estate agent to avoid!

I have recently let my property with CJ Hole and I have been very impressed with them. Initially I contacted Northwood, largely based on the positive reviews on this site, but I was very disappointed with them so I contacted CJ Hole instead. From the very start Justin responded to my messages quickly and answered all of my questions. He arranged to visit the property promptly and found tenants extremely quickly. He was not pushy at all, but had a calm relaxed and professional manner. I feel confident that my property and tenants will be well looked after by CJ Hole so I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We decided to sell our house with CJ Hole after a very thorough viewing of another property. The estate agent really knew the property & area. This was our first move in 24 years & the staff talked us through the whole thing. The first buyer dropped out just before completion & the staff helped us through this difficult time, then got us back on our feet & sold the house again very quickly. Since buying our very first property to let, Jack has helped us by answering all our questions and making sure we fulfil all our landlord obligations. He replies to emails promptly and thoroughly and made it seem like nothing is too much trouble. He also makes sure we don't spend more money than we need to for repairs etc. His colleagues (whom I have not met) also seem to be professional and efficient either by email or on the telephone.
