Instructed Dawson's to rent my property in Swansea. I sourced a tennant myself who wanted to rent my property but just before signing a lease pulled out. 2 months later I had a debt collection agency phoning me for a fee owed to Dawson's for apparently renting my property. I explained the rental never proceeded. 1 month later again I received a court summons for £2900 I owe Dawson's in fees. I am not fighting them in court as they never found a remnant and my property was never rented. I would avoid this cowboy company at all costs. Untrustworthy and complete scammers. Unprofessional and their agent * swore at me over the phone. Total joke and BEWARE anyone looking to instruct them

Feb 20, 2019Thank you for sharing your feedback and am sorry we did not meet your expectations. We always strive to deliver the best experience as per our Gold star award on Feefo. However, I am at loss to understand your grievance on this occasion. You instructed us to market your property and duly signed our sole agency contract, shortly after we received an offer for your property, of which was relayed to you and you duly accepted. Consequently, we sent out our Heads of Terms are per normal procedures. Some time had lapsed during which we had tried to contact you on several occasions to no avail. We naturally then made contact with the person who had offered as above, who kindly informed us that he had been in occupation of the property for some weeks. As per our terms of business our fees are due as we did fully meet our obligation and introduce your tenant to your property. We have written to you on many occasions and have not received any communication from you to date. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss the matter with you.
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.

They are one of the worse companies I ever been. Everything is fine until they get a deposit (hidden letting fee) from you but after that they don't answer your messages and make it harder for you. The main reason for the poor review is how this agent deals with tenant deposits. Basically, all other agents I've dealt with secure the tenants deposit with the appropriate authority regardless of whether the landlord is on a full management or finders only scheme. I would not touch dawsons as a tenant as far as I could throw them! The man I dealt with was rude and patronising.
