I'm sure many people have a good experience with their Redrow property. I wouldn't dare say that every home they build is bad but, please read reviews from people who have had a negative experiences too. We own a Redrow property, we are the 2nd owners of the house. There is an issue with the original build quality. Let me make this clear - it is not an issue that has got worse over time, it was very poor workmanship when the house was first built. You can't blame the materials or the process, the roof was never made watertight because the underlay felt was cut short leaving a gap between our home and nextdoor, where you can literally look out and see the sky. So, would Redrow come and put right something that was clearly not done right in the original build? This is their reputation at stake. Would they just do the right thing? It would be a very small cost to them to put it right. Well, obviously from the 1 star (and I really wish there was a minus star rating) they couldn't give a damn. They told me that someone had been out with the NHBC inspector to look at the issue and they didn't see it was their problem. I let the NHBC inspector in, I went in the attic with him....fairly sure he was alone....and even apologised that Redrow had declined the offer to be present. The NHBC report explains the problem with the original build so don't think I'm making this point from an unqualified point of view. If you want to deal with cowboys with zero morals - Redrow are for you. As you will see from many other reviews, their customer service team are an absolute shambles. They are employed purely to tell you that Redrow will do nothing to help you and then completely blank you. The best thing would be for this company to go out of business so they can't damage family life for anyone else. Despicable company and staff.
