Warning: Dodgy Tactics! I am writing this review under the name Daniel to protect privacy. My experience with Stirling Ackroyd was a disappointment. They promise one thing on the phone but do another via email, leading to confusion. The agents are rude and arrogant, showing no respect. They also use manipulative tactics to push buyers into overpaying. Save yourself the trouble and avoid Stirling Ackroyd!!!

When we receive your comment, suggestion or complaint, we will do the following: If you phoned or visited us, we will endeavour to deal with the matter straight away. If this is not possible, we will contact you within seven working days to let you know what we are doing.
If you contacted us at Head Office, in writing, we will acknowledge receipt of your letter within three working days. We will then give you a full written response within 21 working days or, if this is not possible, tell you when you can expect a more detailed response.<br />

I don't mind the initial fees - it's the expected cost of business but I think the follow on annual costs when the tenant is renewing are high since the effort to renew is minimal.

Holding Fee is quite expensive but it does come out of security deposit to be paid anyway. Admin fees and referencing is similar to what I have had in the past.
