Not the cheapest way to sell a property but SBK worked hard to promote the property to the maximum number of viewers. Communicated well, shared their experience and opinions to help us undertsand the dynamics of selling this particular type of property based on the market conditions at the time.

Being ultra critical; "Your Property Hub" which allows you to see the progress from both parties was not always up to date. However, the team, whilst not always available on the phone always got back to me in a timely fashion. Overall, very pleased with SBK and would use them again we needed to.

Given the £1800 sale fee of the house with a £300 reduction, our first offer they dropped the ball we had full asking price of £150k with some concerns over polystyrene tiles in the house. We were not advised by the estate agent to get an asbestos report, if we had, we may have attained and sold sooner. This buyer went away and it took some 6 to 8 weeks before we had a new buyer. Other buyers shown were not right as the house needs a complete overhaul. I had to chase the estate agents and complain about the service in difficult circumstances - my mum is end of life in a care home in another city so we needed a speedy service. Having previously sold my own house with an online agent for a fraction of this fee, I am appalled how much money we lost in this sale. The only good thing that came from the sale was Jephson Legal, who communicated throughout the process. We had no feedback from the Sales Progressor on how the sale was going. Most of the updates I got direct from our law contact, Numan Khan. If my mum wasn't end of life and I didn't have other responsibilities I would have taken this house of market and sold later and most likely earnt more on the sale. I went with them as I remember Robin Jones as a local agent from 40 years ago, when the service was much better.

We started by using Sheldon Bosley Knight as Landlords. Unfortunately we really did not have a good experience. Amongst other issues, some extensive work was done to our property on request of the tenant without our approval nor authorisation. This was very badly managed from then on.
This bad experience encouraged us to sell the property. We continued to use Sheldon Bosley Knight for the sale process. This process was an improvement from our previous experience but still not fully satisfactory. We didn't feel that our property was advertised at its best and certainly didn't get the impression that they were doing their best for a swift and giving us best value for our property. Once we accepted an offer, the process should have been straight forward and swift due to having no chain on both sides but it still took over a month. Sadly we will not recommend Sheldon Bosley Knight in the future.
