We have sold our house using east ham branch and dealt with Shazu Khan. He was very helpful and efficient, came for viewing in couple of days, arranged all paper work required very fast and after a first visit we have had couple of offers. He kept us up to date and returned calls when we tried to contact him. Would recommend it.

I began the sales process with Douglas Allen and the first thing they did was cancel the first appointment after we'd already taken time off work to wait in for them. We should have stopped right then. Instead we gave them another chance. Then they promised a specific date for photography and again cancelled after we had rearranged work to be home. So they took the photos without us and took external pictures of the wrong building and internal ones with an inappropriate camera lens which distorted the flat beyond recognition. They made up quotes from me to market the flat with which were exaggerations at best and downright inaccurate at worst. They repeatedly got my name wrong, even down to confusing my gender and calling me "Mr" instead of "Mrs". Now, 2 weeks after cancelling, I am still awaiting refunds for the upfront deposits I paid, which I now know are not industry standard to request.

Once I found a property, Shazu was extremely helpful in making the sale happen.

Douglas Allen was one of 4 agents we interviewed. We were impressed by Shazu's local knowledge of the area and the different actions he suggested to sell our home. Not only did they introduce a significant number of buyers who were interested in our property, we sold within a week at a very good price. Although the period coming up to exchange was quite fraught ( this was not the problem of our agent), Shazu and the guys down at the office, stayed calm, and kept us sane! In the end the sale went through in the time period I requested and at a good agreed price. SO would I user Douglas Allen again and would I recommend them? Absolutely!

We would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation of the team at the East Ham office for their hard work, patience and most of all, professionalism over the past year 2012/13.
Ever since the process was started where we made the offer for the above property in September 2012, the team have been very proactive and consistent in their service.
It has been a very stressful and frustrating experience for us and the office for a number of reasons mainly concerning the events around the vendor creating a complex chain.
We would like to particularly praise Shazu Khan, Shawn Vivian, Faisal Maiy and Lynburge Rene (now at Barkingside, Essex branch) for their continued support, professionalism and flawless approach to the way they handled the process throughout the year from beginning to end.
We wish them all the best in their career progression and their future. They are truly an asset to Douglas Allen. Well done team!

I made a offer on a house they its been over a week and yet they haven't got back to me I phoned him many times regarding the property but got told the owner has not got in touch with him, he is doing this because I refused to go through with Dougles Allen morgage arranger and solicitors there attitude changed when I said I didn't want there services with was very rude I got my brother to phone up regarding the property on 123 Katherine road and they told him no offers have been made and the house is still on for sale and that the owner was looking for around the same offer I gave, I would never recommend your company only because of stupid and rude staff there and not very helpful at all

I have put in offers on three properties through Douglas Allen and will not deal with them again.
On the first property, I had an offer accepted. I then called them a couple of days later to confirm some details of the property only to find out that I had been gazumped and no one had bothered to call me and tell me.
On the second property they promised to call me later that day to tell me the vendor's response to my offer, and didn't get back to me. When I called 3 days later they insisted they had called and spoken to me (effectively accusing me of lying or suggesting I had forgotten the conversation).
On the third property, I had my offer accepted and they said they would contact me the next day to confirm details. I heard nothing back from them for a week, despite my sending emails to ask what was happening. When I then called, I was told that the vendor was no longer listing the property through Douglas Allen and that I should go through another agent. Obviously, they hadn't bothered to call me and tell me this.
Their total failure to communicate is just breathtaking. They find good properties and seem really helpful up until the point where you actually put an offer in, after which they stop bothering to communicate. Unbelievably bad service.

I have used Douglas Allen Company to sell my property in East London and have received great service, fantastic care. I have also been supported in trying to buy a property from a private seller where I needed a lot of help and advice even though it was not part of their staff's expected job requirement.
Both agents who dealt with my case presented a very 'can do' attitude; Mr Lindberg skilfully found a buyer of my house and prepared the process of purchase to go smoothly and in a controlled way; solicitors, mortgage company, insurance - all was prepared for me in no time.
However, since my purchase started going wrong I have received an extreme amount of help from Ms Natasha Mercie who coordinated the situation which was truly unpleasant for me and my buyer. This lady presented excellent skills of communication, ability to manage dead lines to make the sell of my house still feasible, in tact business behavior and a lot of common sense. Moreover, she appeared to be a human being who had a lot of sympathy to my hopeless situation and yet enough intelligence and creativity to suggest the possible solutions to me. With this all great help, our house was eventually sold.
Overall, thank to Douglas Allen, I have succeed in selling the house for the price I was very happy with, I am in a position of buying a house that I wished for and even more - I know where to come for help if I ever again need to buy or sell a property in the future. I only hope those two people will still work there and then.
I wish Natasha and Freddy the very best future and I hope they will achieve a lot in their employment.

What a mess..... I sent an email enquiry to this pathetic agent (Douglas Allen) for a sales valuation on my property 2 weeks prior to the date I wanted them to come around. To my disgust and disbeleif I wasn't called at any point to confirm the appointment after the initial booking and no particulars were sent through to my address. Furthermore I received a call from Douglas Allen on the day of the appointment confirming the appointment for the correct time BUT for a complete different property!!! So I called the local agent up myself to confirm the appointment and I was gobsmacked at the way the lady spoke to me telling me that there had been a misunderstanding of some sort and that they couldn't fit me in their diary for an appointment regardless of the fact that I had pre-booked this appointment. Well..........if you are wondering what happened next....... I just simply said FORGET IT and put the damn phone down.. NEVER will I use this agent again in my life, it was an absolute joke! I would NOT RECOMMEND using these pathetic, unorganised and disrespectful agents PLEASE DONT!
