Thoroughly disappointed. I wasn't going to leave a review this company until I got en email asking to leave a positive review. I've used Springbok before to find a place to rent and at the time they were great. So when I saw that they were 'experts' in fast sales I thought great, I'd give them a go, my house had been on the market a few weeks without much luck. My house was on the market with Purplebricks and when I got a call from Springbok and spoke to Paul Sadio, seemed a genuinely nice person who explained how the whole selling process would work, he valued the house at £220,000 and explaining it would take around 3 months and he could guarantee me a sale price of £206,500 as Springbok has a portfolio of buyers and as I wanted a quick sale I signed the agreement. Two days afterwards I got an email from a solicitor saying they are going to get started on documents needed any potential sale to aid the quick selling process, I thought great 's get started. This way back in May last year. I was then passed onto Hayden Donovan who was going to take over viewings and progressing the sale of the house. I had viewings throughout June, no offer, viewings in July no offer, then was told that I was not going to get anywhere near the price Paul had offered me and we would have to reduce the price! Even though I signed the contract with that guaranteed price, reluctantly I reduced the price and even then there was no sign of a sale. After over 15 viewings I finally got an offer. It wasn't ideal as Haden said I would walk away with £180,000 after the buyer offered £186,000, so £6,000 fee Springbok, which didn't seem too bad considering they were covering the solicitor fees etc. After negotiation Haden managed to get the offer up to £191,000, I thought great, and extra £5,000. But no this wasn't the , I'd only get £183,000 so Springbok gets an extra £2,000 just the negotiation. To say I was fuming would be an understatement. At this point I was desperate to sell the house, so I accepted the offer as Haden said the paperwork and sale would be done in a couple of months. So in August I accepted the offer. Next I was passed onto Jake Crompton who would be dealing with the final step of the process. Now Haden had said a couple of months, Jake said he would progress the sale as quick as he could. So the process stated the Solicitor asked paperwork and questions the sale, and then a few weeks later asked more and then a few weeks later asked more and more. It was taking forever to get anywhere. Anyway it got to October and I was told we would be close and the sale would be completed by Christmas. But there was a catch, Jake informed that I would have to pay the Solicitor fees and I was astonished, from the start Paul, Haden and Jake had told me Springbok covered the Solicitor fees, but now I was told it wasn't covered as the Solicitor worked Purplebricks and not them, sounded really suspicious as the Solicitor only contacted me after I signed Springbok. Fuming again I had to agree the sale of the house. Now I was sending emails a couple of times a week checking on the progress, both to Jake and the Solicitor and I was waiting days a reply, the communication was shocking. Everytime I got a response we was waiting something from someone that we didn't need before. I was so fed up, so depressed and stressed from all of it. In the end I took it upon myself to call these documents, I spent hours on the phone with the council, the water board, housing associations, local authority departments,l. The stuff the Solicitor should have been chasing, but wasn't. Weeks went by, months went by and eventually I got an email saying we weren't waiting anything and we were ready to set a date, this was the start of February. Guess what the earliest date we could exchange and complete was over a month later in March. So much a fast sale. The completion date arrived and both myself and the buyer finally got what we wanted, it was done. All in all I feel this company from start to finish filled me with empty promises and hope of a quick sale and a decent price. Paul promised one thing at the beginning and since then it has been a downward spiral of broken promises and disappointments. I would thoroughly consider whether this company is the right one the sale of your house and take what they say with a pinch of salt, it was probably the most stressful experience in my life.
